Its lesson, that youngsters resemble their parents in one way or another, is invaluable and universal. Subsequent pages address similar queries from a young baboon, hippopotamus, leopard, ostrich, snake, hyena, warthog, chameleon, and polar bear. Unfortunately, the text does not flow as expected or desired. The humorous, cartoonlike illustrations add a pleasing dimension and offer more of a story than the simple text.
