Men on a fishing boat see a body floating in the waters of Grand Canary Island. The local police discover it belongs to a Swedish woman named Erika Bergman. Diego Quintana is put in charge of the investigation and he gets help from Sara Moberg, an editor of a Scandinavian newspaper on the island and Kristian Wede, a former cop and new employee of the consulate.
