This collection, published in Greek and English on facing pages, comprises poems that refer to significant personalities or events of Magna Graecia, especially of Sicily and Syracuse, having as their epicenter the love story of Alpheus and Aretusa. Moving in the sphere between myth and history or art and philosophy, these poems constitute a eulogy of the Hellenism that flourished in South Italy and Sicily for more than a millennium.
