James Essinger has been a professional writer on banking and business since 1986, and has chronicled most of the leading-edge developments in the retail and wholesale banking sectors, including the proliferation of shared ATM networks, the launch of EFTPoS, the move to electronic quote-driven financial markets and the rise of internet banking. He lectures and consults widely on strategic and tactical aspects of retail and wholesale banking and on banking technology.
