This practical book demonstrates how easy it is to cultivate beautiful containers and completely transform a small patio area, a window, or a corner of your home. The first part of the book is a guide to container gardening, with over 160 step-by-step projects for beautiful window boxes and hanging baskets, both inside and outside, and the second part provides detailed advice and guidance for caring for over 180 different types of houseplant. There are themed ideas for beautiful containers, including displays based on colour, scent or the seasons. There is useful guidance on how to choose plants that are in top condition, and keep them free from pests and diseases: basic and advanced care and maintenance techniques for plant health all around the year. An A-Z of common plant names and a plant guide concludes the content, providing a quick reference to plant names, plant types, the conditions they like and the ideal watering and feeding regime. With 2200 photographs and illustrations, here is everything you need to know about gardening in pots, planters, boxes and tubs in one comprehensive and accessible volume.
