This booklet is dedicated to Martin Chemnitz, who studied under Martin Luther and Philip Melanchthon. Chemnitz became the senior editor of the Book of Concord, 1580. Luther’s battles were primarily with the Church of Rome, but Chemnitz was an able promoter of Biblical truth against the claims of Zwingli and Calvin. All of Chemnitz’ works are classics where the lessons are drawn from the Scriptures.
