Detective Zephyr Zuckerman is back! In this tale of real estate and sordid romance, Zephyr and her posse of native New Yorkers tangle with the city, marriage, and their thirties. As Zephyr contends with something less than newlywed bliss, her parents threaten to sell the family homestead on West 12th Street and her boss dangles the prospect of deportation to the Midwest. A beach read for the intelligentsia, Wife of the Day is a comic mystery and a portrait of today’s Greenwich Village that investigates how much where we are is a part of who we are.

From the Author:
Zephyr and I couldn't break up! I tried to move on to otherprotagonists, but she kept calling me back. As a native New Yorkerbesotted with my home town, and Greenwich Village specifically, I'mgetting more and more upset about the takeover of my beloved city bybanks, chain drugstores, and non-resident billionaires.

So what's a writer to do? Put it in a novel!

I hope you enjoy this third -- and possibly final?? -- novel in theZephyr Zuckerman series. As always, Zephyr's trying to do right, growup, be a great friend, partner and daughter and, oh yes, solve a huge, sprawling mystery!

Thanks for reading!
