Zephyr and I couldn't break up! I tried to move on to otherprotagonists, but she kept calling me back. As a native New Yorkerbesotted with my home town, and Greenwich Village specifically, I'mgetting more and more upset about the takeover of my beloved city bybanks, chain drugstores, and non-resident billionaires.

So what's a writer to do? Put it in a novel!
