Gr 2-4-Capitalizing on current levels of fame and popularity, this high-interest series profiles four pro-athletes and four singers, providing information about their backgrounds, their achievements and challenges, how they shot to fame, and their outside interests. Each book starts off with an opening scene that introduces the star doing what he or she does best: performing, playing football, etc. The large-font text is spare but informative, and chapters are divided logically. Each spread contains a full-color photograph that complements the narrative, which is clearly written and accessible for new and struggling readers.
