Gale Sears grew up in Lake Tahoe, California, and spent her high school years in Hawaii. She went on to receive a BA in playwriting from Brigham Young University and an MA in theater arts from the University of Minnesota. She lives in Utah, where she celebrates life with her husband, George, and her children Shawn and Chandler. Ben Sowards s paintings and illustrations have gathered national attention and can be found in many beautiful picture books, including the bestselling Christmas Oranges. Formally trained at Brigham Young University, Ben is now an instructor at Southern Utah University, where he enjoys teaching others how to paint both traditionally and digitally. Ben's wife, Connie, and their five children are happy to help with any art projects they can.
