About the Author:
JEFF GILLIGAN has been an avid birder in the Pacific Northwest for more than 40 years. He is a former regional editor for "American Birds" and "North American Birds" and has written for a variety of ornithological publications. He is author of two books on Oregon birds. Jeff has literally traveled around the world on birding expeditions, having toured throughout Asia, Africa, the South Pacific and South America. ROGER BURROWS is a writer and photographer who has traveled North America extensively as a naturalist, interpretive planner and bird identification consultant.
