From School Library Journal:
PreSchool-K Trumpet is learning how to deal with frustration. His mother and sister help him to calm down by counting to 10 before he loses his temper. He comes dangerously close to ruining his birthday party, but he manages a triumph of self-control. When an accident destroys the cake that took his mother ages to make, it's the little elephant's turn to help her deal with the situation. Fuge's winsome watercolors capture the characters' expressions and bring the story to life. Charmingly told and perfectly paced, this satisfying tale is an excellent reminder that children aren't the only ones who need to learn to control their tempers.
