About the Author:

arbara Elaine Haenni Berg, MA, is a special eduation teacher who first came to Maui in the 1970's She swims and dives with Honu, several times a week, primarily in reserve waters. The illustrations come from repeated contact with Honu and are a pictorial journal of her experiences.
