From School Library Journal:
Grade 4-6-These general and accessible series titles each begin with an overview of the country, including geography, history, government, and culture. A small picture of the flag appears on the first page of text with a relatively detailed explanation of its symbolism. References in the overview direct readers to the next section, "A Closer Look," which expands on some of the topics raised in the first part. A third section explores North American relations with the country. Additional material includes a blank map that may be reproduced and filled in for tests or reports and an "at a glance" page of selected facts that also has pictures of currency. The books get extra points for their vivid, informative, and well-captioned photographs; clear organization; nicely keyed maps; and glossaries of both non-English and English words. They are good choices as supplemental material to the "Enchantment of the World" series (Children's) and "Cultures of the World" series (Marshall Cavendish).
