PreSchool-Grade 2 - Expect these dynamic and visually appealing titles to fly off the shelves. Powerful full-page color photographs, with key parts of the vehicles labeled, are enhanced by the large format. The machines, their parts, and the work they do are described in easy-to-read, large-print texts. ("Bulldozers change the shape of the land.") The further readings offer interesting and appropriate choices for avid truck fans. The suggested Internet sites are accessed through FactHound. Regrettably, all four titles picture only Caucasian operators and workers. (A female worker is shown in Earthmovers).
