Lizzie and her best friend try to track down a bank robber called the Green Pillowcase Bandit and end up with more mysteries than they can handle.

From School Library Journal:
Grade 4-6 Lizzie Bruce and her best friend Ivy decide to enliven their summer vacation by trying to track down the Green Pillowcase Bank Robber. Both are stunned when circumstantial evidence points to Lizzie's brother Mitch. The book is ultimately disappointing, although it does have several factors in its favor, especially its lively dialogue. Galbraith has drawn a nice sketch of Lizzie's loving but bickering family, but they lack depth. The other characters are mere caricatures, if occasionally clever ones. Halfway through, the moderately interesting plot becomes bogged down in a series of coincidences that would strain the credibility of all but the most naive. Still, Something Suspicious is no more incredible than many popular mystery series for young readers, and it does feature a climax in an appropriately eerie deserted mansion. Lightweight but fast-paced entertainment for Trixie Belden and Nancy Drew fans. Ruth Reutter, Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, Ohio
