From AudioFile:
The Edgar-winning author of the Max Freeman novels delivers a stand-alone about crime reporter Nick Mullins, whose wife and daughters were killed by a drunk driver. When the driver is released from prison after only 18 months, Mullins becomes bent on revenge. At the same time, another killer is killed by a sniper, and it becomes clear the sharpshooter has a personal relationship with Mullins. Mel Foster sometimes sounds distracted in his delivery of this thriller. His flat baritone is pleasant enough, but in some passages he sounds young and awkward. Overall, however, his performance isn't disconcerting enough to forgo this realistic portrayal of the world of journalism.
