About the Author:
MARY QUATTLEBAUM was raised in rural Virginia and has three sisters and three brothers, with whom she loves to drink tea and chat. Her children's books include Jackson Jones and the puddle of Thorns; Jazz, Pizzazz, and the Silver Threads; The Magic Squad and the Dog of Great Potential; A Year on My Street; and Underground Train. She directs Arts Project Renaissance, a creative and autobiography writing program for older adults, and lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, Christopher David, five Gerbils and numerous fish.
MICHAEL CHESWORTH was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He has always been interested in art. As a boy, he drew cartoon portraits of his teachers and created a cat caracter called Fang. He has illustrated more than twenty-five childrens books and is both the author and illustrator of Rainy Day Dream and Archibald Frisby. Michael likes reading, computers, eyeling, and goofing off. He believes TV is bad for you. He lives in western Massachusetts with his wife Beth, and his children, Sophie and Aidan.
