Qui è lecito dissentire, almeno in parte, e nel Pascoli, ad esempio, non ravvisare tutto quel difetto d' intimità che vi scorge il Borgese. Ma si tratta, in ogni modo, d'un' Opinione molto rispettabile, della quale non mancano le pièces justi ficatives nel corso di questi volumi. D' altra parte, i vari saggi che si riferiscono ai tre grandi poeti ora ricordati, anche pre scindendo da quel giudizio complessivo, per le acute osser vazioni estetiche di cui s' intessono son forse la cosa migliore dell' Opera e, senza dubbio, quelli che ai lettori della Ras segna vanno pii'1 specialmente segnalati.
